Training with Tamiko

"Thank you so much for agreeing to do this Tamiko-sensei," The white haired kunoichi smiled at her former teacher.

"Moriko I've told you, I'm not your sensei anymore, just call me Tamiko," the elder woman grinned, "and of course, I've missed spending time with you. It seems you've grown since I last saw you."

"Well thank you, I'd like to think I have... but you'll always be my sensei Tamiko," Moriko said with a soft blush, "I've learned so much from you... and I still really look up to you..." the girl added seeming a bit embarressed with the admission.

Tamiko's face went a bit red as well, "Y-You do?"

Moriko only nodded, "S-Sorry maybe I said too much...."

"No... you said just enough, lets get started."

Tamiko had no prior knowledge that Moriko was fire natured like herself, it was only when the girl approched her explaining that she had been talking with Tamiko's fiance Benkei and that Benkei told Moriko she and Tamiko had the same chakra nature, so she should go to her asking for lessons. Thus here they were, out next to a lake to begin their fire ninjustu lessons.

"So... hmm lets go over the basics again, because I'll be throwing alot at you I don't want to lose you okay?" Moriko nodded at her and Tamiko began quizzing her, slipping back into their sensei/student relationship.

"Now the advantages and disadvantages of long range vs short range?"

"Long range can affect more oppnents, as well as allow more distance between the castor and their oppnent, but has the potential of being weaker or missing because it is less direct. Short range attacks are usually stronger and more direct then long range but you will have to be closer to your opponent and usually short range will only work on one opponent at a time," Moriko stated effortlessly.

"Very good," though she had expected Moriko to retain the information, she just wanted to quiz her a little so the younger kunoichi could guess at what they were going to work at. "I'll be teaching you a few of the techniques I know and they vary in ranges so I wanted to be sure you'd know when was best to use which technique. Now what techniques do you know so I know how difficult I can make them."

"I just know one currently, since I was working on other aspects of my training I have neglected my elemental ninjutsu... I was going to ask my father for help next time I saw him..."

Tamiko only nodded and smiled a bit, "show me what you got."

Moriko nodded then looked out at the lake, so she was able to aim away from the trees. She made the hands signs and muttered, "Fire Breath," as she gathered the chakra in her chest before blowing out fire over the water, it was an impressive amount though as she was unaccustomed to blowing out the flames she coughed a bit of soot out as the flames died down.

Very basic technique, but Tamiko clapped a bit none the less, "Very nice start, so ninjutsu that involved blowing fire you seem to be skilled at, so lets try conjuring fire with our hands."

"Conjuring it with our hands?"

"Yes it's not too hard, just instead of focusing chakra in your chest, focus it in your hands, like so," Tamiko smiled making the hand signs and conjuring a small controlled flame between her palms. She then extinguished the fire and looked at Moriko, "Now you try."

Moriko looked at her hands then nodded mimicking Tamiko's handsigns, focusing her chakra in her hands as she produced a flame between her palms as well. Tamiko smiled at Moriko as she stared at her creation, like a child staring at a new toy. But then the flames started spreading engulfing the girl's hands. Moriko's panicked seeing she couldn't control the flames and Tamiko also panicked realizing her student had added too much chakra to the fire.

Several minutes later Tamiko had healed up Moriko's hands as Moriko was pouting over her failure. Tamiko only smiled at the younger, "It's okay, just too much chakra that's all, we'll practice until you're better then I'll show you some techniques."

Moriko looked up and nodded at Tamiko, "thank you so much for this Sensei."

"Anything for my student," Tamiko grinned hugging the girl. Moriko only smiled returning the hug.
